Formed in 1887 by the Reverend Albert Simpson, the C&MA was built upon the pursuit and promotion of Higher Christian Life and the Evangelical Mission Alliance. This type of work involves mobilizing Christians around the globe in foreign missionary efforts and tasks.
The church today boasts about 420,000 members in the USA and over 3 million members outside the continental US. The CM&A Headquarters are currently located in Colorado Springs, CO and are headed up by Dr. Gary Benedict, the currently elected president.
